Bad mood, Bad weather, Bad Pass

You’ve worked hard and crafted a masterpiece of a song. You’ve really put in the effort to improve your craft and grow as a songwriter but your songs aren’t sticking? Sometimes knowing when and what to pitch is a big deal. You say, “well what do you mean?” I’m saying if someone is already in a bad mood you really think they want to hear your song? Music pros are typically already busy people but adding they’ve been fighting with their wife or boyfriend doesn’t help them listening to your song. Even great songs are passed on just because the listener was pissed off ahead of time and truth be told never really listened to the song. It happens.

A good plugger has to know when to pitch and what not to pitch and sometimes when to just shut up and walk away. Thick skin and a thousand passes isn’t for the faint of heart.

But that one great song can change everything, so don’t stop writing keep going and going. Don’t give up!!
